Our Clergy, past and present, have been trying for a number of years to secure Heritage Lottery Funding for the high level repairs of the stone work on the South face and West Front Elevation of the Church. Also to improve the access to the main doors by replacing the step with a ramp and making the porch more open.
We are pleased to announce that in 2014 we obtained a substantial and conditional grant that includes fund raising and Parishioners involvement from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). This bid consisted on £245,500, with Parishioners having to raise a further £90,000. The Parish has currently raised £35,000 The Church was also generously supported with a £20,000 grant from The National Churches Trust.
The project development stage started in Mar-15 and after lengthy preliminary development the internal repairs and Narthax alterations started in Oct -16. The internal work was completed Feb-17 including a revamped Narthax, facilitating an improved view of the interior of our church with increased glazing. A new ramp was also completed to the front of the church to facilitate easier wheelchair access.
External restoration work started April-17 and was completed April-18.
The Church held its' Biennial Flower Festival 7-9 Sept 2017 with Heritage Open days held. As well as a second concert by "Got2Sing" choir in Dec-17.
Further Heritage Open days were held 7th-8th Sept 2018 and 5th-6th Oct 2018

Various Parishioner and Community activities were carried out, including "have a go at restoration" and a University of Wolverhampton School of Architecture visit.
