As we leave the chapel and turn to the left towards the central point of the entire building (known as ‘the crossing’) we see the alabaster altar rails which separate the nave from the chancel. It is here that Holy Communion is administered to the faithful at Mass. These rails were installed as a memorial of the consecration of the Church in 1905. ​
