33. South Aisle

As we turn again to leave the transept in the direction of the South aisle, we are about to reach the fine pulpit, which is highly carved in Caen stone, with angels and blind arcading, and reached via a fine stone staircase from the transept. On the left is the memorial brass to the historian and archivist of the Church, Tony Nicholls, who was a server and assistant at the Church for over eighty years. We owe most of our knowledge about the history and design of the Church to his careful researches over many years.​
