10 North Window

Above us in the left wall of the North transept, the large window filled with clear glass contains a memorial to the 25th anniversary of the rectorship of Bishop Cleary as Parish Priest here, which was celebrated in 1976. one of the panels shows the Bishop’s Coat of Arms, which is customarily surmounted by a green bishop’s ceremonial hat adorned with green tassels. Below the window hangs a large crucifix, which is used in the Good Friday liturgy every year for the veneration of the cross at the hour of Christ’s death.

Underneath the cross are four ornate carved doorways, each with its own door.
